PJ Patel

Mr. Patel "PJ" was employed by Comcast Cable after receiving his Associates Degree from Arkansas College of Technology in 1990.  During his five years with Comcast, he received further certification and specialized in fiber optics and mainline maintenance.

His first venture in the hotel business was as owner of a 15 room property in Muncie, Indiana in 1996.  With the experience and success as an owner, Mr. Patel"PJ" invested in a much larger Days Inn hotel with a partner.

It was about this time Mr. Patel "PJ" began forming a bond with Sun Development.  In addition to managing his own hotel, he assisted Sun in renovating two older hotels and the final construction of four new properties.  Because of these strong ties with Sun, he dissolved his partnership as a hotel owner and came to work full time with Sun in 2001 as General Manager of the Comfort Inn in Indianapolis, Indiana.  While managing the Comfort Inn, he continued to involve himself in Sun construction projects.

Mr. Patel’s varied background in hotel ownership, management, and all phases of construction was key in promoting him to ramp up and organize Sun Real Estate in 2004. 

Since 2004, Mr. Patel has functioned as Project Manager for the opening of one new hotel and two major renovations.  He has also acted as General Contractor for an 88 room Hampton Inn & Suites, and is currently Senior Project Manager for six new hotels and the converting of a six story office building Russ Breidinger joined the Sun Development team in June of 1991.  He brought with in downtown Nashville, TN to a Homewood Suites.
